Hunter Valley coal exports falling

The party appears to be over for the Hunter Valley’s coal mining industry.

The latest stats shows mining turnover dropped 6 per cent in May seasonally adjusted.

This follows a 12.1 per cent fall in the previous month with record high prices and demand dropping.

This is the lowest lowest level in 10 years.
