Firefighters said there was very little they could do to try to save a house destroyed by fire on the weekend.
Crews from Fire and Rescue New South Wales Murrurundi Station and nearby RFS brigades were alerted to the blaze on Paradise Road in the town at 1:30 on Saturday afternoon.
The brick veneer home was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived on the scene.

They said no one was home at the time.
