The Federal Opposition is under fire this morning for delaying the release of it’s energy policy including details of nuclear power site options here in the Upper Hunter.
It had been reported the coalition would put out the details before the Federal Budget being handed down next month but Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has confirmed that will not be the case.
Mr Dutton said the tragic events in Sydney over the past ten days has caused a delay to the release of their energy policy.
The local community is keen to hear where they propose to establish the nuclear option here after the former Liddell Power Station option was ruled out by owner, AGL.
