Muswellbrook Shire Council’s vision for a redeveloped town centre takes a step forward in the coming days.
Preparations for the demolition of old buildings along Bridge Street are underway.
The site is to be turned into a multi-function Pocket Park.
Council’s Director of Property and Place Matthew Lysaght said fencing was put up yesterday around the site.
“Bonded asbestos will be carefully removed from the site over three nights next week by appropriately experienced and accreditated contractors,” he said.
