A Hunter Valley Magistrate has reportedly told a man accused of 21 child sex-related offences…it’s as serious as it gets.
75-year-old Keith Ronald Curran was granted bail in Cessnock Local Court yesterday afternoon after his arrest on Wednesday at a property near Laguna.
He’s accused of sexually abusing a young girl over a three-year period.
The Herald reports Magistrate Ian Rodgers told Cessnock Local Court it could be two years before an outcome of the case and that Mr Curran, who has health conditions, could be a very vulnerable person in a custodial setting.
Mr Curran has been ordered to report to police daily and live with his mother in the Blue Mountains as part of his bail conditions.
He’ll face court again in October.
