A brand new trailer has just dropped for Emerald Fennell’s highly anticipated adaptation of Emily Brontë’s classic, Wuthering Heights. The acclaimed director behind Saltburn and Promising Young Woman is set to deliver a fresh, perhaps even more unsettling, take on the iconic novel, starring Australian favourites Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi.

Brontë’s 1847 masterpiece, a cornerstone of English literature, tells the passionate and tumultuous story of two prominent families on the West Yorkshire moors: the Earnshaws and the Lintons. At its heart lies the explosive dynamic between the Earnshaws’ foster son, Heathcliff, and their daughter, Catherine. Their relationship is legendary for its intensity, marked by moments of deep connection alongside cruelty and domestic abuse, themes Fennell is uniquely poised to explore.

Margot Robbie steps into the complex shoes of Catherine, while Jacob Elordi takes on the brooding role of Heathcliff. This marks yet another screen interpretation of Wuthering Heights, but with Fennell at the helm and such a compelling cast, we anticipate this could be the best version yet.

“Adolescence” star Owen Cooper will portray a younger Heathcliff. The impressive supporting cast also includes Oscar nominee Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, Alison Oliver, BAFTA winner Martin Clunes, and Ewan Mitchell.

Fennell not only directs but has also penned the screenplay. Warner Bros. Pictures is slated to release this bold new Wuthering Heights in cinemas on 13th February 2026.
