Upper Hunter communities will gain improved public transport connections from the start of next month, with NSW TrainLink rolling out new and expanded regional coach services.
A new route (Route 351 and 352) will operate between Tamworth and Muswellbrook Monday to Friday from 1 July. The service is designed to provide a day-return link to and from Newcastle, with passengers able to connect to the rail network at the Muswellbrook interchange.
The Broadmeadow to Taree route (Route 135 and 136) will also see increased frequency, moving to a daily Monday to Friday service.
The State Government says the new services have been developed following extensive community consultation, including feedback from regular passengers and operators, as well as recommendations from the NSW Bus Taskforce.
