A Merriwa woman has slammed Upper Hunter Shire Council for caving in to a development application for a private helipad on her neighbours property.
Sydney town planner John McFadden has agreed to drop his court action after council agreed to approve the D-A with amended conditions.
Under the 10-year deal up to seven helicopter movements will be permitted to and from the block on King George The Fifth Avenue.

Neighbour Kim Daniel said the council’s back down is disgraceful and this is not the end of the matter.
