Hunter MP Dan Repacholi is asking the community to get behind a local effort to support men who are struggling, particularly as the cooler weather approaches, with his Cessnock office now an official collection point for The Man’s Bag. The charity distributes care packs containing essential hygiene items to men facing hardship across the region.
The Special Envoy for Men’s Health said the organisation plays an important role in improving dignity and well-being for those doing it tough.
The Man’s Bag is seeking donations of key items including shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, toothpaste, toothbrushes and roll‑on deodorant. Other useful items are also being accepted, such as sunscreen, pocket tissues, drink bottles and more.
Residents wishing to contribute can drop items into Mr Repacholi’s electorate office at 3 Edward Street, Cessnock, between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
