Warner Bros. Pictures has unveiled the second trailer for the high-budget fantasy extravaganza, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom”.
Reprising their roles from the first blockbuster hit are Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Patrick Wilson as his half-brother Orm, Amber Heard as Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, and Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin.
Motivated by an unrelenting desire to avenge his father’s death, Black Manta, having previously failed to vanquish Aquaman, is now more determined than ever. Armed with the formidable Black Trident, he wields the power of an ancient and malevolent force.
Facing this new threat, Aquaman seeks an unlikely alliance with his incarcerated brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis. Together, they must set aside their differences to safeguard their kingdom, protect Aquaman’s family, and prevent irreversible destruction to the world.
Directed by James Wan, the film is produced by Peter Safran, Wan, and Rob Cowan. The screenplay is crafted by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, based on a story developed by the writer in collaboration with Wan, Momoa, and Thomas Pa’a Sibbett.
“Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” set to open in theaters internationally beginning 20 December 2023 and in North America on December 20, 2023; it will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
