Two of this years most anticipated games have been delayed til the later part of the year.
"Marvel's Avengers" the game being developed by the team that brought us the "Tomb Raider" reboots is being pushed back from a May 15th release to September 4th.
The initial reception for this title was mixed but it seems that the team are going back to work on some of the "issues" Marvel fans had with the look of the game and also iron out any bugs for a more polished release.
This will be an original story driven campaign with co op options and additional content to keep it alive for years to come.
The second big title to be pushed back is CD Projekt Red's ambitious "Cyberpunk 2077" which seems like it's been teased forever. The game play footage we've already seen seems near complete, but the perfectionists there still don't think it's ready for release. here is the announcement regarding the push back to a September 17 release.
There's probably some business decisions around the push back of the release of these titles which will put them both in September and they are both the types of games that will sell more consoles so it's probably no coincidence that they are closer to the release date of the new PS5 and Xbox Series X.
