There is a day for that

I am totally confused. Doesn't take much some would say. Yesterday there was an announcement from Buckingham Palace saying that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan are expecting a baby in the English Spring. Great Royal news. There has been backlash for the day that the announcement was made for two reasons. One it is said they stole the light from the weekend Royal wedding, and two it was  International Pregnancy And Infant Loss Remembrance Day. Now I Googled this and found no reference to the day on the sanctioned UN days list. I did however find it on a NSW State registered days list. Only two states recognize this day. NSW and WA. It is recognized in the US, Canada and a couple of small Nations as well. Ronald Reagan first recognized the day in 1988, it didn't pass congress until 2006. In NSW it was first slated as a day in 2008. So why are people reacting so much on social media? The announcement was made in England on the 14th. It just happens due to International date lines that it was the 15th here in Australia.

It is impossible to keep up with days for this and that, or even weeks of this that and the other. We are a World gone mad. We have become a World of whiners, who are way too easily offended. We need to grow up and see the big picture.

Life is way too short to worry about he said, she said. Harden up and enjoy the life we have on this Earth. It is way too short.

Just to prove there are days for everything. Here area couple of sites to visit to see what is recognized:

http://www.un.org/en/sections/observances/international-days/  This is for days the UN recognize.

https://trackmaven.com/blog/national-days-calendar/ This will give you a full calendar of Nationally recognized days in Australia.

This shows how petty and silly the World has become. Let me know your thoughts.
