Jemma Pepper is an overtly energetic, pink-loving journalist born in the western suburbs of Sydney.
At 18 years old, she moved to Newcastle and fell in love with the breezy coastal lifestyle. At the time, Jemma was commuting to the University of Technology Sydney where she undertook a double degree as a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism) and Bachelor of Arts in International Studies (Germany).
Throughout her studies, Jemma participated in numerous internships including her first gig at 2NURFM Radio. She was also the lead Newcastle Jets writer in the 2020/21 A-League season for a digital publication called, The Football Sack and adopted work experience at NBN Newcastle on two separate occasions.
Jemma has a passion for broadcast storytelling which evolved from her love of fantasy novels. She loves chattering away and finding quirky, interpersonal angles from people she meets.
Outside of work, Jemma is an avid-gamer and some days it's hard prying her away from the PlayStation! If she’s not lost on intergalactic adventures or buried deep into the words of Aussie Author Jay Kristoff, she’s off patting someone’s dog she sees on the street.
