Belltrees farmer Anto White in Scone with Deputy Premier John Barilaro and Upper Hunter MP Michael Johnsen.

As drought conditions in the Upper Hunter worsen, Belltrees farmer Anto White believes now the most important thing is the availability of feed.

Anto is a 6th generation farmer on the historic Belltrees property in Scone and he's been tackling the drought for the last two years.

He has half the stock he normally would in a good year and is spending around $25,000 a week to feed his cattle.

Jessica caught up with Anto to find out what he thinks would most help farmers right now, and how he's been surviving.
