Jack Carrigan is a 27-year-old farmer from Merriwa who is looking at the deteriorating conditions of the drought in the Upper Hunter for the first time.
He's positive though and even sees the conditions as an opportunity to try new techniques in a bid to survive.
And the last thing he wants to be seen as, and any other farmer seen as is a 'bunch of whinging cockies".
Jack joined Jess on Hunter Valley Today to talk more about drought and his outlook on the conditions.
