The support was strong for Muswellbrook Race Club's Bengalla Cup Day on Sunday.

There were around 400 people trackside under strict COVID-19 conditions for the race day that saw the feature race, the Bengalla Cup, won by 6-year-old gelding Nothing Too Hard ridden by Chris O'Brien for Paul Perry from Newcastle.

Nothing Too Hard now has 41 starts and 5 wins as well as 12 placings for more than $160,000 prizemoney.

The gelding has been a handy addition to the stable winning the Quirindi Cup that was raced at Scone Race Club earlier this year.

Muswellbrook Race Club General Manager Duane Dowell said it was great to see people out supporting the Club again.

"I was really happy with the response from the general public to support the day."

We had 400 on course and everyone enjoyed the day albeit under strict Covid-19 requirements,"

"It’s just great to have people back enjoying a day at the races!"

Also on the day young jockey Dylan Gibbon ran 3rd in the Bengalla Cup which was just his second race start in his career.

Dylan is the eldest son of successful jockey Andrew Gibbons who is the winner of the NSW Jockey’s Premiership 2019/20.
