The Singleton Greyhounds and the Greta-Branxton Colts have called it quits due to COVID-19.
Both teams have pulled out of the Newcastle and Hunter Rugby League Competition which was meant to kick off last weekend but last minute changes to COVID-19 restrictions for local sport changed.
The clubs are putting the health of their players and everyone involved first with new concerns surrounding COVID-19 over the past week playing a major role in the organisation's respective decisions.
The Greyhounds posted on their Facebook page that they've withdrawn all of their teams including Ladies League Tag, Under-18s, Reserve and First Grade teams.
The clubs promise they'll be back bigger and better in 2021.
