Man arrested after ending up in Muswellbrook family home heavily intoxicated

A man will face court next month after breaking into a house heavily intoxicated.

Hunter Valley Police District (HVPD) officers say occupants in an Aberdeen Street home at Muswellbrook were awoken at about 1:30 in the morning last Saturday night by an intoxicated male who entered the entertainment area of the house.

The man was confronted by one resident while another called triple zero.

Police arrived just after the man left and he was arrested a short distance away.

The 51-year-old was taken to Muswellbrook Police Station and issued with Court attendance notices for Malicious damage and trespass offences, for a Court date in March.
