The power is out at Jerrys Plains after a grassfire this afternoon.

NSW Rural Fire Service crews were called out to Lemington Road at about 12:45pm after reports of a grassfire.

The fire has ripped through about 10 hectares and is just about contained thanks to the efforts of 15 fire crews, 30 firefighters and a water bombing aircraft.

The power is out though according to Ausgrid to parts of Jerrys Plains, Lemington, Denman, Appletree Flat, and Doyles Creek.

About 200 customers are impacted, Ausgrid is working to restore the power but it could be a couple of hours.
