Fire crews are back on the scene of a couple of bushfires that broke out in the Putty area yesterday.
Putty Road was closed in both directions yesterday, Sunday 23rd July, near the Grey Gum Cafe from around 2pm after a bushfire broke out.
Local NSW Rural Fire Service crews were aided by NSW RFS crews from Edinglassie and Mangoola in a bid to contain the blazes.
Today crews are back on site with three fires now burning in the Putty area.
On the northern edge of Putty Valley Road crews are investigating a containment strategy for a fire about six hectares in size.
The second bushfire, Grey Gums is being controlled and is 20 hectares in size. Today fire crews are backburning from around 3pm so crews will be stationed along Putty Road near Grey Gum Cafe - there will also be smoke in the area so take care if you are headed that way.
The third bushfire Box Gap Road is 17 hectares in size and is also being controlled.
