Man who allegedly broke into Muswellbrook Workers Club off to court


The man who allegedly broke into the Muswellbrook Workers Club is off to court.

Hunter Valley Police District (HVPD) officers have arrested a man who at about 2am on Thursday allegedly gained access to the registered club on Sydney Street and entered the office area, where he removed an amount of cash, before fleeing the scene.

HVPD officers attended and established a crime scene.

About 1.30pm, officers attended Scott Street, Muswellbrook and arrested a 34-year-old man.

He was taken to Muswellbrook Police Station where he was charged with break, enter and steal.

He was refused bail to appear at Muswellbrook Local Court on Friday, July 19.
