A man charged over two alleged armed robberies in the Hunter Valley last month will appear at court today.
Police will allege that about 10.30am on Tuesday 10 October 2017, a man armed with a knife robbed a fashion store in Bridge Street, Muswellbrook, escaping with a sum of cash.
It will further be alleged that just after 12pm on Tuesday 31 October 2017, a man with a knife threatened a staff member at a restaurant in Bridge Street, Muswellbrook, before escaping with cash.
Officers from Hunter Valley Local Area Command have been investigating both incidents and attended a home in Glenbawn Place, Muswellbrook, about 10.50am yesterday (Thursday 2 November 2017) and a 23-year-old man was arrested and taken to Muswellbrook Police Station where he was charged with two counts of robbery armed with an offensive weapon.
He was refused bail to appear at Singleton Local Court today (Friday 3 November 2017).
