Upper Hunter teachers have accused the Education Minister of just putting up window dressing when it comes to address the teaching crisis at our local schools.

Sarah Mitchell announced the State Government will pilot a new scheme in Term Four where they'll employ 200 addition staff to provide admin and support to teachers so they can focus more on lessons.

They would help teachers with tasks such as printing and organising school excursions.

But Teachers Federation local organiser Jack Galvin Waight said this is not a new idea.
