An Upper Hunter man was flown to hospital in Sydney after suffering serious burns from a bon fire incident.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by New South Wales Ambulance on Friday just after 11am to carry out an urgent inter hospital medical transfer of a burns patient from Scone Hospital to Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney .
A spokesperson from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter said the 37-year-old male patient was initially treated on scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics after throwing accelerant onto a bon fire.
"The gentleman was further stabilised by the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team prior to being airlifted direct to the Burns Unit at RNSH in a stable condition for further specialist medical treatment," the spokesperson said.
