The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by New South Wales Ambulance on Friday just after 11am to carry out an urgent inter hospital medical transfer of a burns patient from Scone Hospital to Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney .

A spokesperson from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter said the 37-year-old male patient was initially treated on scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics after throwing accelerant onto a bon fire.
