Zero cases reported in the Upper Hunter regions

In a change of tune from recent days, the Upper Hunter regions have not recorded any new cases of COVID-19 today. 

The Hunter New England Health District has recorded 47 new confirmed cases. 

It takes the total number in the current outbreak to 1,815 - with currently 1,102 active cases.

23 of the total active cases are currently being cared for in hospital and there are four in ICU.

31 are linked, 13 are unlinked and 3 are still under investigation.

18 were infectious in the community and 26 were isolating during their infectious period, with three still under investigation.

Meanwhile, New South Wales recorded 360 new locally acquired cases and there were tragically five people who passed away.

11 are from Lake Macquarie LGA

- 3 in Bolton Point

- 1 in Hillsborough

- 1 in Macquarie Hills

- 1 in Marks Point

- 1 in Toronto

- 1 in West Wallsend

- 1 in Croudace Bay

9 are from Cessnock LGA

- 7 in Weston

- 2 in Bellbird

6 are from Newcastle LGA

- 1 in Adamstown

- 1 in Bar Beach

- 1 in Cooks Hill

- 1 in Hamilton South

- 1 in Mayfield

- 1 in New Lambton Heights

3 are from Port Stephens LGA

- 3 in Raymond Terrace

3 are from MidCoast LGA
