Gunnedah part of the 16 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the Hunter New England Health Districts

A newly confirmed case of COVID-19 has been identified within Gunnedah.

It follows as 16 new cases were listed in today's figures and take the total number in the current outbreak from the Hunter regions to 367.

There are currently 202 active cases.

Six are from Lake Macquarie LGA - two in Wangi Wangi and one in Arcadia Vale, Charlestown, Glendale, West Wallsend.

Five are from Newcastle LGA - two in Mayfield and one in Hamilton, New Lambtom and Elermore Vale.

Three are from Cessnock LGA - two in Cliftleigh and one in Greta.

One are from Port Stephens LGA in Boat Harbour and one in Gunnedah LGA.

There are 14 of the total active cases are currently being cared for in hospital and two are in ICU.

Nine of the cases are linked and seven remain under investigation.

10 were infectious in the community and five were isolating while infectious.
