A man has been charged with firearm and intimidation offences in the Upper Hunter.
Officers from Hunter Valley Police District were called to Jersey Place at Muswellbrook yesterday evening, following reports a man had allegedly been threatened with a firearm.
A 38-year-old man allegedly pointed a firearm at another man following a verbal dispute.
It is alleged the man also made verbal threats toward a woman known to him.
The firearm was later found to be a gel blaster and no one was injured during the incident.
The 38-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Muswellbrook Police Station, where he allegedly made threats toward a police officer.
He was subsequently charged with intimidate police officer in execution of duty, possess unauthorised pistol, armed with intent commit indictable offence, and two counts stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm.
The man was refused bail and appeared at Singleton Local Court.
He was granted strict conditional bail to appear at Muswellbrook Local Court on Monday 27 September 2021.
