A vaccination hub opening in Merrriwa tomorrow will be administering the Pfizer vaccine.

The clinic will be held at the School of Arts in Bow Street from 10:30am-3:30pm and is open to residents from the Upper Hunter Shire local government area.

Upper Hunter MP Dave Layzell and the Royal Flying Doctor Service organised the clinic to assist with vaccination rates due to the low number of General Practitioners in the community.

"A community like Merriwa need more than just one person jabbing arms.

"We've organised for the Royal Flying Doctor Service to come down and form a clinic there.

"It really is aimed for that Merriwa community and people of the Upper Hunter Shire Council area.

"It will be Pfizer and Pfizer only," Mr Layzell said.

The vaccines will be administered to anybody over the ages of 12.

No appointments will be required but individuals who attend must bring their Medicare card and identification.
