There are changed traffic conditions on the New England Highway at McDougalls Hill starting this weekend.
The work near Maison Dieu Road starts on Sunday 11 April and involves resurfacing the road, installing new guardrail and line marking to provide a stronger, smoother road and improve safety for motorists.
To minimise impact to motorists, most of the work will be carried out from 7pm to 5am from Sunday to Thursday, with some work also taking place from 7am to 5pm from Monday to Friday, and is expected to be complete in three weeks, weather permitting.
Traffic control, lane closures and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place during work hours for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
