Cessnock man's week turns around after $200,000 win


A Cessnock man is having  a very happy Hump Day after winning $200,000

The man said he has had a rough start to the week but suddenly it's all looking up after purchasing the Lucky Lotteries ticket at Cessnock West Newsagency.

He's going to remain anonymous, but said he would be putting the money towards a well earned home renovation. 

“Thank you,” he gushed to the team at The Lott.
“It feels really good! I am very excited."
“I just went to the newsagency and checked my ticket."
“It was such a surprise! It just feels like it’s meant to be."
“I’ve had a tough start to the week, so this is certainly a sign that things are looking up.
“It’s great!”
With a spare $200,000 about to hit his bank account, the Cessnock resident said it was time for a home makeover.
“I am going to get some renovations done around the house,” he said.
“There are a few things that really need some attention, and now I don’t have to worry about it."
“I can call in the professionals, which will be great.”

In 2020, 141 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $48.61 million. 
During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by an Ermington woman who a Mega Jackpot prize of $11.73 million in January.
