Muswellbrook's outdoor pool is finally opening again today.
The pool at the Muswellbrook Aquatic Centre has been closed for the last week while some "teething problems" with some equipment and water chemical levels have been dealt with.
Deputy Mayor Rod Scholes said the problems they're having will need ongoing attention.
"Some of that was caused by some mechanical failures and we are still trying to get on top of that. It will require ongoing diligence and potentially maintenance, but I trust we have solved it now."
"It's certainly not a good look what's been happening but I know Council staff have been working very hard to resolve the issues and I know they will get there," said Rod Scholes.
When the pool opens at 11am today, Monday 22nd February, there will be free entry up to and including Sunday March 7.
Meanwhile works continue on schedule on the indoor pools project.
Council has thanked all patrons for their patience and understanding as technical issues at the refurbished outdoor pool are resolved.
