A massive win for Muswellbrook in the Women’s Black Diamond Plate Competition on the weekend.

The Lady Cats smashed Gosford 15.12.102 to 2.2.14 at Weeraman Field.

Vice-captain Elise Garlick kicked ten goals for a personal hall of 60 points.

Muswellbrook’s Men’s team finished on the wrong end of the scoreboard against Newcastle City 10.7.67 to 8.7.55.

A narrow loss for Singleton in the Women’s Black Diamond Cup.

The Roosterettes were beaten by Lake Macquarie 8.10.58 to 8.5.53.

Muswellbrook has secured a place in the Group 21 first-grade semi-finals after beating Denman on the weekend

The Rams celebrated Old Boys Day in style with a 26-to-10 points victory at Olympic Park.

The win secures the Robbie Swain-led team fourth place and a chance to advance to the big dance.

In other games, Scone scored an easy win over Aberdeen 48-10 and two late tries led to a 20-to-8 win for Greta Branxton against Singleton.

Singleton is back on the winners list in the Northern League One Football Competition.

The Strikers knocked off defending premiers Belmont Swansea at Blacksmiths Oval on Saturday 1-nil.

RUGBY UNION

The Singleton Red Bulls have finished the regular Newcastle Suburban rugby union season in second place after an easy 68-points-to-5 win against Singleton Army on the weekend.

Lincoln Adler and Daniel Molloy both picked up a hat-trick of tries at the Army Barracks on Saturday.

Pokolbin ended up fifth on the ladder after downing the Singleton Black Bulls 47-5,

Griffins defeated Medowie 22-nil and Nelson Bay dominated Cooks Hill 32-nil.
