Organisers of Muswellbrook’s Going Country event are calling for volunteers, with just four weeks to go until the popular country lifestyle event returns to the Muswellbrook Showground.
Going Country will run from 3pm to 10pm on Saturday 17 October, bringing a day and evening of country-themed attractions, exhibits and live country music to the Upper Hunter. The biannual event has grown into one of the region’s premier gatherings, drawing large crowds and providing a boost to the local economy.
Organisers say they are mainly looking for volunteers to assist at the entry to the event, welcoming guests and scanning tickets. The bulk of volunteers are needed across three time slots on the day: 2:30pm to 4pm, 4pm to 5:30pm, and 5:30pm to 7pm.
In return for their time, volunteers will receive a complimentary family pass to the event.
