Singleton’s Janse van Rensburg kicks off Games bid in Paris

Singleton’s Genevieve Janse van Rensburg has commenced her first Games competition in Paris overnight.

She is one of 36 competitors to take part in the fencing event, the first in the Women’s Modern Pentathlon.

The 20-year-old finished the round 13th position out of 36 competitors.

She sits on 215 points after winning 18 bouts and losing 17.
