Singleton will join the nation in recognising front line volunteers from this Friday.
The towns sundial will be lit up with an orange glow as a token to those who serve in our local agencies such as the Rural Fire Service and State Emergency Service.
Volunteers will also be spotlighted next week for Wear Orange Wednesday, ahead of the Emergency Services Expo.
Damian Morris, Council’s Acting Director Infrastructure and Planning said there could be no better way to pay tribute to Singleton’s volunteers than at the event.
“The Expo is a great, free day out for families that offers fun and education but also showcases the essential roles our services play when an emergency event happens.”
