The Golden Highway will undergo welcome upgrades at several locations ahead of a surge of oversize and over-mass trucks carrying equipment to build renewable energy zones.
Work at Jerrys Plains will see construction of a retaining wall north-east of Pringle Street, relocation of a water main and an existing street light pole.
New asphalt will be laid north of Lonsdale Street, and east of Pringle Street.
At Cassilis, works will include the construction of a right turning lane from the Golden Highway westbound onto Vinegaroy Road, reshaping of the verge and batter on the westbound side of the Golden Highway to the north-west of the intersection, as well as the installation of a new vegetated open drain.
