Glenbawn and Glennies Creek Dams are set to be used as the source of possible pumped hydro power in the future.
WaterNSW has announced this morning that it has awarded a development contract to Upper Hunter Hydro to investigate two large pumped hydro projects.
Under the deal, the company will be given access to WaterNSW land and reservoirs near Scone and Singleton.
