Police are appealing for public assistance after a car was found alight on Market Lane in Muswellbrook earlier this week. Emergency services were called to the area around 11pm on Tuesday following reports a vehicle was on fire.
Fire crews extinguished the blaze, and further checks revealed the car had not been reported stolen. Officers are treating the incident as suspicious and believe the fire was deliberately lit.
A teenage male riding a scooter was seen in the area around the time of the blaze, and investigators say he may be able to help with inquiries. The incident occurred near businesses including Aurora Disability Supports and Tradelink Muswellbrook.
