All northbound lanes of the M1 Pacific Motorway are closed at Morisset due to a car crash just past Mandalong Road.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson told the Newcastle Herald, a male in his 30s was trapped inside his vehicle and had suffered chest and leg injuries.
Northbound motorists are being diverted onto Mandalong Road, and can travel through Morisset and Toronto to return to the motorway at Ryhope.

Traffic is heavy so motorists are advised to allow plenty of extra travel time and to follow the directions of emergency services and traffic crews.
