The New South Wales Nurses and Midwives Association is calling on Health Minister Ryan Park to reverse a decision to cut upgrades to Muswellbrook Hospital.
The planned new operating theatres and sterilisation area have been shelved by health bureaucrats due to increasing redevelopment project costs.
Nurses will stage a protest rally outside the hospital between 2 and 3 this afternoon.

Nurses Union Assistant General Secretary Michael Thwaites said he hopes the Minister will come to the table.
