A man in his 50’s has been airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition after suffering a cardiac arrest in Muswellbrook on Monday morning.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance about 10:45am, with paramedics arriving to treat the man at the scene. He was initially taken to Muswellbrook Hospital for further stabilisation.
The helicopter’s critical care medical team then assisted hospital staff before transporting the patient to John Hunter Hospital for specialist treatment.

He remained in a serious condition upon arrival.
