Machetes used in Broke robbery attempt

CCTV images have been released of two men accused of trying to hold up a store during a terrifying incident in the tiny town of Broke.

Police say the pair entered the Broke Village Store at around 20-past-8 last Friday night, threatening staff with machetes before fleeing empty handed.

Both men were wearing dark hoodies and pants. One man’s hoody bore the words ‘Tommy Helfiger’ across the front in large white letters.

Both men were wearing face coverings, and one was carrying a black Adidas bag.

No-one was injured in the failed robbery attempt.
