The Independent Commission Against Corruption says it cannot confirm or deny it is investigating Upper Hunter Shire Council.
That was the response to the Hunter Valley Newsroom after we questioned a visit to Scone by ICAC officers last week.
“The Commission does not confirm or deny if it is undertaking investigations, however, there were ICAC officers from our Assessments and Corruption Prevention teams in the area last week.”

A Council spokesperson said there has been one meeting with ICAC, last week which was part of a meet and greet to introduce themselves.
