An Upper Hunter Shire Councillor has accused ratepayers of being abusive in their submissions about the future of Murrurundi Dam.
Many locals are angry because they claim the push to decommission the water storage source was a forgone conclusion when Council launched so-called public consultation last year.
Councillor Alison McPhee told this week’s council meeting…some of the community feedback was not helpful.

Councillors voted unanimously to move ahead with their plan to cease using the dam as a back-up water source to save in excess of $400,000 a year.
