Muswellbrook Council is advising residents of delays to red‑lid waste collection after a contractor’s truck broke down yesterday.
Council said other vehicles have been diverted to cover as much of the scheduled run as possible, but some households may not receive a collection until after 6am this morning.
Residents in affected areas are being asked to leave their red bin at the kerbside to ensure it can be collected during the catch‑up run.

Council has apologised for the inconvenience and thanked the community for its patience while the issue is resolved.
