Firefighters have remained at the scene of a bushfire burning in the Upper Hunter overnight.
The 25-hectare blaze is located along Greg Stairs Rd at Gungal.
It ignited yesterday afternoon with local landholders initially attempting to put it out before local rural fire service brigades turned up.

The RFS says the fire has been burning in largely rough uninhabited country and there is no threat to life or property at this time.
