Celebrating Steamfest – Grossmann & Brough Houses Maitland is open Saturday and Sunday 18-19 April.

Visit this National Trust property just a short walk down Church Street from Maitland Railway Station.

Grossmann House is open for self-guided tours at a reduced price on both days from 10:30am to 3pm.  This is the last opportunity to see the ’Back to Black’ clothing and accessories exhibition featuring a stunning 1890’s silk ladies’ riding habit worn by a mannequin seated on a Victorian side-saddle.

Brough House will have high-end textile goods for sale on Saturday.  Sunday sees textile hand-crafted goods for sale in stalls in the lovely garden.  See our period weaving looms in action upstairs in our Fibre-makers Space.

As usual, we offer home-made refreshments at family-friendly prices and a wide range of volunteer-made preserves and jams for sale.
