Cover Fencing is a third-generation family fencing business. When some of the biggest names in Australian thoroughbred breeding need a fence line that will hold, they call us. But stud work is only part of what we do — we handle all kinds of rural fencing, from boundary and stock fencing to laneways and yards, for farms and rural properties across the Hunter Valley, Newcastle and Mudgee. Every property gets the same standard, whether it’s a marquee stud or a paddock down the road.
of post-and-rail horse fencing built over the last 40 years — almost the distance from Melbourne to Brisbane.

Services
Three things we build most, and build properly.
Post & rail fencing
The core of most jobs: boundary and internal paddock fencing that follows the fall of the land rather than cutting straight through it. Available in traditional timber (left, still standing strong after 30 years), steel (centre), or horse-friendly plastic composite (right), set out to run true over distance, laneways, and gentle curves alike.
- Paddock division and property boundaries
- Laneways and internal fence lines
- Timber, steel or horse-friendly composite rail
- Built to follow contour, not just survey pegs
Yards & day yards
Steel-panel yard complexes built around how a property is actually worked day to day — holding pens, day yards and shelters laid out together rather than added piecemeal over time.
- Day yards and holding pens
- Laid out around existing sheds and shelters
- Steel panel construction
Gates & entrances
A driveway gate is the first thing anyone sees of the property — built to match the fencing either side of it, and finished properly, nameplate included where wanted.
- Driveway and paddock gates
- Built to match adjoining fence lines
- Custom signage and nameplates on request
