HELP US FILL OUR CHRISTMAS HAMPERS!
For many families, Christmas is not always a time they look forward to. With the cost of living continuing to stretch household budgets, simply putting food on the table and paying everyday bills can already be difficult, before the added expense of Christmas arrives.
This year, the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre is once again hoping to put together Christmas hampers to help local individuals and families who may be doing it tough.
If you are in a position to help, we are asking you to consider adding just one extra item to your shopping trolley and dropping it into the Neighbourhood Centre for our Christmas hampers.
It might be a Christmas treat, pantry item, toiletries, or simply an everyday grocery item. Every single donation, no matter how small, helps us make a hamper a little more special.
We understand that times are difficult for many people, so there is absolutely no expectation. For those who can give a little extra, your kindness could make Christmas a much brighter time for someone in our community.
Here is a list to help with some ideas of items we would gratefully accept, please do not let this limit you if you have an idea:
• Christmas puddings or fruit cake
• Custard
• Tinned ham
• Tinned fruit
• Long-life milk
• Tea, coffee and Milo
• Biscuits and crackers
• Chips and snacks
• Chocolates and lollies
• Cereal
• Pasta and pasta sauce
• Rice
• Tinned vegetables
• Baked beans and spaghetti
• Jam, honey or spreads
• Soap, shampoo and toothpaste
• Christmas treats
Donations can be dropped into the Scone Neighbourhood Resource Centre.
Thank you for continuing to support our community and look after one another
