📚 Library Officer | Merriwa & Cassilis Permanent Part-Time | 25 Hours Per Week

Upper Hunter Shire Council is seeking a passionate and community-focused Library Officer to join the Merriwa & Cassilis Libraries team. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to help create welcoming spaces where people can learn, discover, create, and connect.

You’ll assist library visitors, support access to digital resources, deliver children’s programs, facilitate community activities, and help bring local events to life.

What We’re Looking For

✔ Certificate IV in Library and Information Services (or related field)
✔ Experience in a library or customer-focused environment
✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔ Current Working with Children Check
✔ Unrestricted Driver Licence

Experience with library management systems, such as Aurora, and promoting library services will be highly regarded.

Our ideal candidate will: - Hold a Certificate IV in Library and Information Services (or a related field) and have experience in a library or similar role. - Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Enjoy delivering engaging children's activities, book clubs and community events. - Be confident working both independently and as part of a team. - Hold a current Working with Children Check and an unrestricted driver's licence.
